Thanks to Sud de France for this great Worldwide Synchronized Wine Tasting.
Sud de France, the umbrella brand for wine and food products from Languedoc-Roussillon, was celebrating its 4th anniversary on yesterday. It was a remarkable day.

Here is a summary of our tasting. Our complete wine reviews are accessible by clicking on each wine.

89 – Sieur d’Arques, AOC/AOP Crémant de Limoux, Grande Cuvée 1531
Crisp and with nice bubbles. On the nose, touch of green apple, mineral and citrus aromas. On the palate, easy drinking sparkling that will please all. Nice fruity aromas, smooth and well balanced.

Will be perfect with fresh oysters or has aperitif.

90 – Cigalus, VDP/IGP Pays d’OC cuvée 2008
This Cigalus Gérard Bertrand 2008 has a nice golden color. On the nose, exotic fruits, honey and butter… nicely butter aromas. On the palate, toasty, vanilla and exotic fruits flavors. Very nice and long finish.

Enjoy it with salmon tartare and seafood.

85 – Fruité Catalan, AOC/AOP Côtes du Roussillon
A big fruity rosé. Aromas of strawberries and raspberries. Sweet, candy.

Perfect for at the beach and for the pool.

90 – Dromadaire 30670, VDP/IGP Pays d’OC cuvée 2006
Made from a blend of Syrah and Grenache, this wine has a nice deep cherry red color. On the nose, black olives, cherry are mixed with woody and animals notes. On the palate, black cherry, pepper and jam flavors offer a complex wine. Velvet tannins and a moderately long finish.

Pair with grilled meat. Delicious with an Angus BBQ steak.

91 – Mas de Madame, AOC/AOP Muscat de Frontignan cuvée 2006
The Mas de Madame 2006 is an elegant wine nicely balanced. On the nose, pear and peach aromas. On the palate, a recall of the nose added with some notes of honey and mangos bring us a sweet and crisp Muscat with some acidity.

Pair it with blue cheeses, foie gras poêlé or fruity dessert.

We hope you will discover or re-discover Sud de France wines.

Cheers!
