The Meritage from No. 99 Estates Winery Wayne Gretzky is a blend made of Cabernet franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The color is dark purple red. The nose is fruity and spicy. Its exhibits plums, blackcurrant, blackberry and green pepper aromas. The mouth is fruity with red fruits and chocolate flavors. This Meritage has strong tannins and a nice and persistent finish.
A nice and affordable choice.
Will be an excellent match with grilled red meat.
Serving temperature: 15 à 16°C (59-61°F)
Ready to drink now or cellar until 2010.
