The Chocolate Block 2006 | Wine of the Week

The Chocolate Block is a nice blend of Syrah 55%, Grenache Noir 17%, Cinsault 15%, Cabernet Sauvignon 9% and Viognier 4%.  The Chocolate Block

The color is red garnet. The nose exhibits nice spicy dark chocolate aromas. There is also some clove and ripe red fruits aromas. On the palate, the mouth is rich and stylish. The wine is balanced with smooth tannins and with ripe red fruits, dark chocolate and smoky flavors.

Paired with a filet mignon, game, lamb and grilled red meats.

Serving temperature: 16-18 ° C.
Ready to drink now or cellar until 2011 or even more.
