Wine of the week last year under the vintage 2007, the Chardonnay Boschendal Coastal 1685 is back to seduce us. True to itself, the vintage 2008 showcases fruits and complexity. A smart buy.
The cool mountain soils of the Coastal Region of South Africa deliver a beautiful yellow straw color Chardonnay. On the nose, fruity and floral aromas added with passion fruits and pear notes. On the palate, notes of butter, nutmeg and cinnamon well balanced with zesty citrus and tropical fruits flavors. A refreshing and complex wine with honey roundness.
Pair with fish and shellfish, creamy sauce pastas and poultry. An excellent choice with lobster.
