Constellation Wines deal closes

Constellation Wines Australia has a new owner and a new name – Accolade Wines.



Ownership of the Reynella-based wine company, also formerly known as BRL Hardy, changed hands yesterday with the Australian $230 million cash sale to Sydney based private equity firm CHAMP.

Brands to come under the Accolade moniker include Hardys, Houghton, Banrock Station, Berri, Omni, South Africa’s Kumala and the US’s Echo Falls and a 50 per cent stake in UK beverage wholesaler Matthew Clark.
