Cabernet Sauvignon Cuvée Alexandre Casa Lapostolle 2006 | Wine of the Week

The name Casa Lapostolle, does its sounds familiar? The Wine Spectator has elected the Clos Apalta wine of the year. It was also our wine of the week in November. This week wine of the week is, if we can say, it’s little brother. Casa Lapostolle

The Cabernet Sauvignon Cuvée Alexandre is a blend made of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Merlot. This wine is aged in French oak Bordeaux barrels for 10 months. The color is deep ruby red. The nose exhibits black fruits, blackcurrant, tobacco, sweet bay and a woody touch. On the palate, soft tannins and firm body. Same aromas than the nose are perceptible. Well balanced with a good acidity, this wine has a long finish.

Paired with grilled meats and game.

Serving temperature: 16 – 18 °C
